Students that have a signed permission slip will be released at 1:00 on Friday for the Homecoming parade. There are still several needing to turn in permission slips. Please bring them to the office before Friday.


Elections for Homecoming Queen and Princess will be Thursday during lunch.  Rock the vote!


If you would like to bring a date to the dance who is not a WHS student, fill out the sign-up sheet on the office window before Friday.


Coronation rehearsal is on Thursday for candidates, escorts, and Student Council.  Meet Ms. Hunt and Mrs. Utterback in commons at 1:30.



NHS dues are $10 and due to Mrs. Pummill by October 1st, 2018!


Juniors will be taking the ASVAB Test on Wednesday, October 3, at 8:00 a.m. It has been cleared with Clinton Technical School for the junior vo-tech students to stay at WHS for the testing. Thank you!


All students need to remember, that no medication (prescription or non-prescription) can be on your person at any time. All medicines must be kept in the office and have the correct paperwork filled out and kept on file.


Freshmen Float Committee there will be meetings at 7:40am on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in Mrs. Moser's room, the week of Homecoming.


Credit Recovery is available in the HS Library every afternoon from 3-4 p.m.


Attention Juniors and Seniors Only: If you would like to attend a career fair at Clinton High School from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10. Please see Mrs. Foster to get signed up. Visit with employers, colleges, trade schools, military branches & receive important information. Thank you!


Last day to order “pink out” shirts is THIS Friday!! See Lauryn Micheals ASAP to order a shirt. All shirts must be paid for when you place your order

Clinton School District has made a change to the district calendar. They will not be in school at all on Oct. 18. This was originally scheduled for a half day.  Vo-te4ch Students will not have class at all on that day.  Thank you. 


Jostens will be here Tuesday, September 22nd to meet with the seniors at 1:45 for a pre-meeting announcement. They will also be meeting with the sophomore’s for class rings at 2:30 when they return from their trip.


Sophomores will be attending SFCC Career Day on Tuesday, September 25th. The bus will leave at 8 a.m. and return back to school by 2:30 p.m. Permission slips will be handed out on September 14 and due back to Mrs. Foster by Thursday, September 20. 


There will be a Financial Aid Literacy Night for Seniors & Parents on October 2 at 5:00 p.m. in the WHS Library Lab. The presentation will be by SFCC and will cover a basic overview of financial aid, filling out the FAFSA, and types of financial aid available. See Mrs. Foster with any questions. 


Attention seniors: Elks National Foundation scholarship opportunity is now available for any high school senior that's a US citizen. For details and to access the application, visit https://www.elks.org/scholars/scholarships/mvs.cfm. The link is also on the WHS Website under Guidance, WHS Counselor, Scholarships Page. Applications must be submitted online on or before November 15, 2018. See Mrs. Foster with any questions. 


There will be a High School Assembly today at 1:30 in the gym.


Juniors: Your class dues need to be paid, please pay Mrs. McKnight before Homecoming on September 28.


Seniors: Your class dues need to be paid. Please pay Ms. Rettke, Lexi Jenkins or an advisor  before Homecoming on September 28.


All Golfers need to work the concession stand either Sept. 27 or Oct. 8.  Sign up with Mrs. Daugherty.


FCCLA: Anyone interested in joining FCCLA needs to see Miss Lawson for a Membership Application. Dues are $20 and need to be turned in by September 28.


All Freshmen, pay your dues to Mrs. Moser as soon as possible.

Jr. High Football HOME vs. Lighthouse Christian Academy. 5:00pm start time. 


JH/JV/V Volleyball @ Cole Camp. 5:30pm start time. Bus leaves @ 4:15pm. 

Order of games are as follows: 

Jr. High A @ 5:30pm in the "old gym".

Jr. High B next. 

JV @ 5:30pm in the "new gym". 

Varsity last. 


Friday, 9/28: 

Varsity Football HOME 7:00pm start time. This is homecoming. 

Homecoming ceremonies will be held during half-time of the game.

Varsity Volleyball @ Warrensburg Tournament. Information is attached to this email.
